What are these rubber plug things called?

What is the actual name for these rubber plug things that go in the body of the car? For instance, there is one in the bottom of the spare tire well. I need to know what they are called, and where I can get some different sized ones. I want to use them to plug some round holes in the body of the car. Do they have a name? Can I get them at the hardware store?

Help me out!

Rubber grommets will get you what you need in google I think.

"Auto body plugs" is the right term, I think.

Auto body plugs is getting me closer. I found a set on JCWhitney, but they are all really little. The biggest plug is 1" diameter. I need some bigger ones....

I'm on my lunch break at work right now so I can't view the youtube video. Can you give me a brief rundown?

Ray,

Unfortunately, these are all going to be non-factory plugs, unless you've got a car without air conditioning? I need to plug 4 holes from the AC system that go through the passenger side of the firewall. I also need to plug the hole in the driver's side floor area where the exhaust sensor passes through to the catalytic converter. All that factory emissions crap is coming off, so the sensor is going with it. Only problem is that I'll have a hole there afterwards. I want to plug it with one of these auto body plugs, but can't find anyone that sells them....

If you really get desprate and can't find what you need in the store just go to your local junk yard. There are so many of these plugs on cars that im sure if you pulled up a few trunk carpets/mats or look at any car from underneith you can find a variety of plugs to sute your needs.

It is a tool that comes from Harbor Freight. Its sort of like a rivet gun, but it installs various sizes of plastic plugs instead of rivets. It looks pretty slick, and its dirt cheap. Definitely check it out when you get home, I think its what you might be looking for.

those are factory plugs. there is a whole page in the parts catalog and all it has is those three plugs

Can you provide any help with finding that page? I looked thru the PDF parts catalogs on foxed.ca but couldn't find that page. I was looking for it, knowing that Mazda had to do something for the non-AC equipped cars. I looked thru the manual a couple of times to no avail. What section is it in? Got a page number? Any help would be appreciated.

AC is in the climate control section, 61.

so you need the body section, 0900-6930

scroll down to page 2L7, section 6125B-1

order the 3 numbers

there are instructions in the front, but maybe they don't explain the logic to it very well
