what are these connectors for?

what are these connectors for?


the first connector is under the beehive pedestal, it comes off the bit of loom that runs into the gearbox somewhere and then runs back up to the white connector to the left in the next picture.



theres the other connector.

car has no A/C and bits and pieces of the emissions gear removed. sorry for the dodgy photos.

If I'm not mistaken, that white connector is the circuit used to determine of the gearbox is in
4th or 5th gear. Not sure what the small connector is down lower.

what would happen if its disconnected? iv only been in 4th and 5th a few times on the day I got the car and it was fine.

the guy who messed with the wiring before I bought the car didn't have much of an idea I don't think, theres a few connectors not plugged in/tied up out the way and I don't really like the way hes routed the harnesses.

The ECU used the circuit to adjust the firing of the rear rotor for emissions. Being disconnected
is normal if the rest nest was removed, etc. No harm done.

yea just bits and pieces have been removed still got most of the vac lines going to the carb just until I get a roadworthy, then Ill remove them all except for the crankcase vent.

i think the extra stuff is for auto tranny's if im not mistaken

you might be right I think it had a manual conversions at one stage before I owned the car.
