5th gear switch broken wire at base

My 5th gear switch wire broke at the base and im looking for a replacement, I have search but no luck.
Is this switch really important and could i just get by for now or should try to fix this switch?
from a 91 n.a s5 manual transmission

I don't believe its vital, worse it will do is hurt your mileage a little i believe

Remove and resolder. I do it all the time. Works great. And cheaper then buying a new one.

iirc it'll prevent the ecu from using O2 feedback for afr correction, but thats about it.
