What was that part that, if it was rusty..
Somewhere on the forum I read that there was a certain part in the rear wheel well area that, if was rusted thru, your car was in trouble. It was a brace, or something. What's it for, and exactly what happens if its rusted through? I just had my wheel wells cut out and patched, I hope that's the end of my rust nightmares.

Well, I'm in trouble then 
I've got quite a bit more rust in those areas than Directfreak's pictures show! I'm hoping like mwpayne, that a little bit of metal work and welding will fix everything.

Before and after pictures would be greatly appreciated! I'll have to snap off a some showing just how rusted my wheel wells and storage bin areas are.

was too late to edit and add
- after hamering out the rusted spots, I think I may have actually got more 'hole' area, but it's not on a structural part like the ones displayed above. I'll have to remember to bring the digi cam home tommorrow

ummm.... lets just say you'll hear grinding noises, see sparks, and the back end of your car will drift everywhere, independant of your steering...
