Need Some Advise...Again

Ok, Im almost done with my project car, and Ive run in to a few problems. I was just looking for some personal opinions as to what you might do about these problems if you were in my shoes.

1. I need a muffler to finish off my exhaust (RB header, RB pre-silencer = TOO LOUD)

2. I need a new tranny crossmember bolty thingy (piece that bolts to tranny, then goes through x-member), and I suppose a new x-member wouldnt hurt either

3. Radiator is cracked, solder/weld, or new?

4. Need new tires, or wheels and tires.

I think thats all my problems for now, and then Im done. So I guess this is kind of an update/help thread. Im updating you on what I have left to do, and I need help, cause I dont know what Im gonna do now...No money and all (again ).

I'm still mad you didn't finish the sound system first but here goes...

1) Get the edelbrock RPM muffler if you have the RB pre-silencer still...between the two, it should silence the beast and, as long as it's not mounted in front of the axle, the RPM piece will last. It's also got a lifetime warranty, so it becomes the last muffler you'll buy for the car.

2) Junkyard and clean it up....new is overkill...make sure you get the crossmember from the same type transmission you have now...ie., get a crossmember from a standard car for a standard and vice-versa for an auto tranny....there is a 3/4 difference in hole location that does make a difference when you go to bolt the whole thing together...

3) Take your radiator to be cored or rebuilt...shouldn't run more than 100 for a rebuild...$$ ahead compared to new and you don't want a junkyard piece in this instance...radiators that sit dry in the boneyard rot out...they need a liquid interface to slow down rust build-up...

4) I've got some GS alloy "cross" rims in the 14" size that are going to need a new home. I'll let you have them for a song plus a couple of spare 10" Pyles if you're interested. I don't know what you have in your neck of the woods, but here in the Metroplex, there are a plethora of small "used tire" shops that sell used high performance tires in all sizes for the extreme small $$ Ex.--> had to pick up a 225/50 -15 to replace my dead Dunlop...Goodyear gatorback with full tread = $35 mounted and balanced...

Start begging for money...
