What is a front fender bracket, and where does it attach?

What is a front fender bracket, and where does it attach?

Okay, it sounds like a stupid question. I've got two of these sitting in my garage that came with the GSL-SE I recently picked up.

I've always thought they were trash but still held on to them. Where should they go on the car?

the bottom edge of the fender is bolted to the 90 degree part of that bracket, and then the other side just bolts to a little bracket on the body.

it keeps the bottoms of the fenders from flapping around.

SA's do not have them

They are right above the front ducts

I believe 83+ have the air ducts...

My '82 did not have the front air ducts for the brake rotors, yet the 83 donor car I found fenders for when I was replacing my bent up front end before my wreck did have them.

I suppose I don't see a reason why you couldn't just get some off a junk car and install them if you really want?
