weird find on the yard....!!!!
I found an OIL COOLER that was on a 12A rx-7... not the one under the oil filter but a GSL-SE type... however this one is a lot bigger than a GSL-SE's and way bigger than the SA type oil cooler... the oil cooler was hooked up the way a GSL-SE oil cooler is at, but it wasn't connected and the oil cooler on the 12A was there too under the oil filter... this one is huge painted black... i'll take a pic of it and a pic of a GSL-SE oil cooler... i heard before that a rx-4 had the biggest oil cooler, but i don't see how it got to that 12A FB...

ooh yeah check I also noticed that theirs a difference in the 84-85
GSL-SE differential... the 84 has lower gear ratio and the 85 has a higher gear ratio... well the 85 has more teeth on the ring... i've got both of them in my garage... : )...

an external heater core is thinner and 2/3 the size of a radiator...

And there are still no other pics...
EDIT: Damn.. Searching for a post and I stumbled across this one that lacked a reply to a question asked of me, so I decided to reply... I didn't realize it was a year and a half old...

So did the dude find the fargin holy grail prototype of oil coolers ?
or did somebody at the pick and pay salvage yard change his mind and sling a tranny cooler from a 1972 Plymouth Sport Suburban station wagon with towing package into the engine cavity of an FB ?
Inquiring minds want to know !

Someone probably slammed an FC or other car's oil cooler into their 12A car, and either blew the engine or wrecked it and put in out to pasture... Although if you can put on an oil cooler, you can rebuild a rotary...
