Weight of Engine Block
What's the weight of the engine block (I know, I know... it's not a block)...
I mean with out all the other **** attached to it... the 5 peices of the block, and the rotors and shaft and stuff inside... what's the weight of that...
I had the idea of putting handles on the top of the block so you can reach in and pull the engine out of the bay with your hands...
Then just find some way to strap the engine in between modifying and throw it back in.... like you switch batterys... hehehehe
I am stupid/evil/tired right now...

It's heavier than it looks
A friend and I were able to carry a "loaded" block (it had the oil pan and front cover on it, still had all internals, no manifolds or flywheel) down a flight of stairs, but it sucked. Another friend and I were able to pick an "empty" block (5 housings bolted together, no internals or anything) up out of the back of my RX-7, but it sucked. Picking an engine up out of the engine bay without a hoist... well you'd better have a VERY strong back
