weighed my car
well my 85 gs hardtop with 12a streetport with the storage bins and back section of carpet removed weighed in at 2440 with my 150 lb *** in it. i can get it way lighter but for now im ok
oh yeah, i weighed it at the track :-P
best time was 15.3@91mph
60 foots were about 2.4 doh
just baseline numbers so dont flame me. its got stock suspension. i can sway the car by leaning side to side while im sitting down. that and its runnin hella rich and has a toasty old clutch. slipped clutch from 5k and it did ok but not great.
next time im goin fer mid 14's when its in better shape
not bad for 800 bucks huh?
gamble
neeeed ignition, any suggestions? im goin blow through turbo this spring so overkill is ok

With the high 60' times, it seems to have a-lot of power.
15.3 on a pretty much stock port 12A is good.

MSD6BTM , PN 6462
Supercharged or turbo engines will benefit from the 6BTM in more ways than one. Not only do the full energy sparks help burn the fuel mixture, it allows the driver to retard the ignition timing based on the amount of boost being produced by the supercharger. The timing is adjusted from a dash
mounted **** and can be retarded 1 - 3° per pound of boost with a maximum of 15°. There is also a built-in adjustable rev control to protect the engine from over-rev damage.

if you lock out the distributor you dont need a 6 btm!!!! its a wast of money.... i have never needed one, why should you???? a nice thing about rotary engines is that they will start no matter how much advance they have!!!! i would set the timing at 5-10 total advance and be done with it!! a 6btm costs $335.00 , a 6 a costs $149.00... you need two for a rotary.... do the math.... LOCK YOUR DISTRIBUTOR!!!!! p/s the 6btm does not come with a built in rev controll!!!! thats the digital 6 unit!!!!
