Not only do the full energy sparks help burn the fuel mixture, it allows the driver to retard the ignition timing based on the amount of boost being produced by the supercharger. The timing is adjusted from a dash mounted knob and can be retarded 1 - 3° per pound of boost with a maximum of 15°. There is also a built-in adjustable rev control to protect the engine from over-rev damage. |

if you lock out the distributor you dont need a 6 btm!!!! its a wast of money.... i have never needed one, why should you???? a nice thing about rotary engines is that they will start no matter how much advance they have!!!! i would set the timing at 5-10 total advance and be done with it!! a 6btm costs $335.00 , a 6 a costs $149.00... you need two for a rotary.... do the math.... LOCK YOUR DISTRIBUTOR!!!!! p/s the 6btm does not come with a built in rev controll!!!! thats the digital 6 unit!!!!

just low budget!!! and nutty:) and the rev limiter is adjustable with pills!!!! no dial like the digital 6
