Waffle wheels on FB

I have a set of waffle I want to install on my FB however it appears the standard wheel bolts from my + wheels are too short. Did the SA cars have longer wheel bolts?? Has anyone found a suitable generic M12 x 1.5 wheel bolt that works??

Yes, the waffle wheels require longer bolts, or at least I know there are two bolts used on 1st gens, a long and a short one.

Most well equipped tire/ wheel stores carry or can at least get them for you.

You could measure them out and get some nice ones online, but a good local wheel shop should be able to help you out.

If grey85 doesn't mind, can I ask a related lug bolt question?

The 83 Limited Edition wheels also use a longer lug bolt, but longer in the sense that the shaft on the head is longer, not the treads.

Does anybody know of a vender that has a suitable 83 LE wheel lug nut to replace the original OEM bolts, which are very hard to find?

Here is a (rechromed) stock 80 lug bolt as used with factory waffle wheels:

Should be able to read any dimension you need from here; thread length, shaft length, thread engagement length, etc.

I had the opposite problem; I had these, but the Epsilons needed much shorter bolts. I bought some from Gorilla, via Amazon.

Thanks very much that was very helpful. I found some locally that are 35mm so 5 mm shy of the original 40mm
