Vacuum ports

What do you normally do with these two ports after a Weber carb install? And on the iron I’m missing a fitting after getting the iron lapped what are my options there?

I run mine to atmosphere but my hoses run up facing the sky with a filter just to make sure A no water gets in and B because oil does indeed spill out of those holes under cornering.
