When I fitsy got my car, alot of the under hood components were beginning to look their age. Rusted and corroded components really made the car look pretty trashy. So I did the right thing, and attacked them with my dremel / sandpaper and primer and paint.

I painted the coils, and their brackets, hood prop rod, cruise control mabober bracket, top of the metal radiator shroud, top of the radiator, and the vacume canister. All flat black. Really cleaned it up. And I polished the alternator housing.

Here's the engine on the first day that I brought the car home.

I also tore out the stupid sub wiring.

Looking good. That white paint makes a nice under the hood photo. Now get that ratchet off the paint please.

It's amazing what a little elbow grease/effort and detaling can make in an engine bay. Keep up the good work. Btw, once one starts detailing the little parts, one finds more and more to do. I have made it a habit that if a part comes of for whatever reason, it's refurbished before it goes back on the. Eventually, everything ends up looking like new.

 

^^I'm in that habit too haha. The subtle things really make a big difference.

The ratchet was there, cause one of the 10mm nuts with the bracket things that hold the brake/fuel lines to the fire wall had came loose, and the lines were dangling.

 

Looks great. Now, clean up that beehive..lol
