Turbo help!!!
Turbo help!!!
Ok first things first, which engine would be best to turbo, 12a or 13b? KEEP IN MIND PRICE. lol What turbo would be better to use. it's going to be a daily driver, and i want to run 8 to 10 psi. I want to know, what would be the cheapest and easiest way for me, someone who isnt really smart when it comes to turbo's. The main problem i will have is how long will i be out of a car because i need a car to drive to work. I am really in need of help. anybody want to help a fellow 7 owner out?
cheapest way is tII turbo get a manifold from rene rx3mist.com and off you go if you want a decent set up check robert out at www.rotaryshack.com

Robert, would it be possible for you to fab something up? If I go the supercharger root (which I really want to), I will want to keep my side draft. The camden kit doesn't come with the manifold to hook up my side draft to the s/c; so..... could you make one?
As you can see in this picture from Camden's site, this car is running a side draft, but I have yet to see anything on the site about doing a side draft on their s/c.

S/C just seems so logical to me, and I can't get enough of that whine. Plus, for $2395 with everything you need included (unless you are like me and want a side draft), it takes a lot of the trouble of fabbing **** for a turbo application out of the equation.
I'm getting so ahead of myself, though. I still need to get money to get my motor rebuilt before I can even think about forced induction.
Thanks for any help and insight you bring to this thread.

P.S. Josh, aren't you glad I gave you the tip on the cheese? Hahaha.

Also, as much as I'd absolutely love to buy your buddy's brand new, incredibly cheap s/c, I am broke.
BTW, you just got an e-mail.
Later,
Shawn
