Exclamation Tie Rods?

I had a bad "clunk" noise coming from passenger front wheel and after inspection found the outer tie rod end had lost it's grease due to cracked boot. I looked at the others (inner and outer, driver and passenger sides) and they were all cracked and need replaced. Does anyone sell the whole assembly? Inner and outer for a lower price than seperate. I've found them for like $25 a peice! Any help will be appriciated!!!

I just redid my inners and outers on both sides and it wasn't cheap. the outers put me back $80 can. and the inners $90. then i needed the threaded sleeves to adjust the alignment, that cost me $30. I tried ordering them all at once but I couldn't find anywhere. I had to get everything seperately at NAPA. I would try Victoria-British for the full assembly, I know you can order them all together from their catalog. Sorry I couldn't be more help but I hope that helps a bit...

Most of the time when the boots have cracks in them the tie rod end itself is still good. I'd make sure there is some play in the part before replacing it. You can even replace just the boot itself, there are aftermarket boots available for a few bucks at the parts stores.

The boots are cracked on all three of my GSLs, but the tie rod joints themselves are still nice and tight. Those steering parts are expensive, that's why I'm not replacing mine until they start to show some play. And even then I will probably take some off my parts car and recycle them, adding some fresh boots at that time.

And of course new parts are nice, as a last resort.

Be sure to check the steering idler bushings because they can make a clunking noise to. They are probably worn out anyway.
