Temporary fix for headlights arm plastic bushings
Monday I was almost done putting together my friend's 79 sa.The last thing to do was the headlight motors when I encounter the famous bushings, 2 were gone and 2 broke
My friend needs the car bad (work, school) so I needed to come up with some temporary fix!
found this

the size I used was 7/8,one size smaller than the largest. the fit is not too tide or loose but will see how long it will last. Its been there since Monday and he drives at night the whole week, I'll report back in few weeks.Who knows maybe will take the temporary from the title.

still working! like Banzai mention dont put too much lube.I put some grease on the side of the bushing making contact with the arm and the pivot closer to the arm.
are these bushings available? ha,ha too lazy to search

I'd actually prefer this over stock plastic crap any day, as long as the fit was loose and didn't bind too badly. Reduce vibrations and rattles that these old cars develop in the headlights.
