Need a little insight on this one guys. I seemed to have "misplaced" my caliper mount/dust shields. Just curious if you guys know if this part is interchangeable between 81-85, or if they are different for 81-83 (small bearing) vs 84-85 ( big bearing) spindles. here are some pics of what I am talking about. I stole them from another members post.. (thanks!) since it's the best pic I can find.

 

ive never done it but it should be 79-85, except 13B

since the spindle gets bigger in 84, worst case the 79-83 one needs a trim

 

yeah... but it's going on an 81...

 

There are brake caliper differences between early and late SA's, but I don't know if the difference also affected the back plates.

 

I have many parts but I not marked; however, I do have a complete set of 83 front assembly that you can use if needed. Otherwise, if there stamped # on the 81, LMK so I can check my stash of junk RX-7 parts
