Syncing flip headlights?

so I have a 78 rx7, headlights work great, but the left one comes up faster than the right one, anyone know how I can make them come up in sync?

Just a guess but perhaps the wiring is unequal and the left is getting signal quicker than the right?

i think you might lube them and then clean the connectors/ground first

How fun would it be to swap the relays so they toggle left and right.

But back on topic causes could be a weak motor, binding parts, or bad grounds.

The wire run is shorter to the left headlight, as the loom comes from the driver's side down to the left light first and then comes across to the right. But in terms of current speed between the two, it would effectively be simultaneous as the difference is only about 4 feet on a 16-ish-gauge wire.

I would concur with the lubing/cleaning of the actuator assembly, as well as trying to clean the electrical connectors of corrosion at the same time. Best of luck!

Yeah, sorry. The other suggestions would be much more likely to be the problem.

you were correct, the wiring is not equal length, and since the car is 4,000 years old it can certainly be unequal resistance.
