Sway bar bushing replacement

Had a quick question, I am currently replacing the sway bar end links and got the top bolt and rubber bushing off, but am hitting a wall removing the rest. Both sides of the car are lifted up on jack stands. There is a bolt head underneath that just spins the whole assembly so I am assuming that doesn’t come off. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a pic of the current progress -

Tap the bolt gently on the threaded end. It will come out.

Agree with the above. The rubber bushings anf tension from the sway bar are holding the bolt in place. A few taps on the bolt and it should work its way out.

There isn’t much tension on it atm, been hitting it with rust release and a mini sledge and the dang thing won’t budge a little bit. Tried putting some vice grips on the shaft and an impact on the bottom bolt but they just spin together. I’m sure they are the original parts on the car so they seem to be pretty rusted together. At this point I’m considering grabbing the sawzall

Cut it off with a sawzall, the sleeve between the two bushings is the problem. Cut the bottom of the sleeve even with the bottom washer and it should come apart.

Sawzall worked like a charm. Ended up sticking the blade in the bottom rubber bushing and cutting the bolt there, attempted above the washer but it was so rusted on it still wouldn't come out. Thank the lord for power tools

Hammer, saw or torch. Get 'em out and put new ones in. You can get them on epay.

Haha love it, Ohio experience with salt and rust knows what's up!
