Driven a turbo FB lately?

Its suppose to be automatic... If you look under it the motor has 2 wires sticking out of it, well those 2 wires go to a temp sensor and when its below the temp it closes the circuit to actuate the motor upon starting...
On my 80 the plug was the same as the windshield sprayer plug and I accidently got them reversed and guess what freezing cold as hell it didnt spray anything on my window so I guess it didnt work...

Here's how to fix it:
Remove the bottle
Tape off the wires
Plug the hose
Throw bottle in the garbage can
Kick back and have a drink
They rarely work because the motors sieze up from lack of use, and the benefit is dubious... there is a TSB for the FCs (not sure about FB or SA) that basically details how to remove the SZA system because it doesn't do anything. I don't know if FDs even HAVE the system in them...

I think it is just extra weight. and its ugly. probably got 20 + years of moldy anifreeze water mix. The bolts came in handy for mounting my fuel pump on my 80.

the funny part is the air pump already is mounted to the airbox... when it's not injecting to the exhaust ports or converter it just dumps the air back in the air cleaner

Rofl... But that's a GOOD idea! Put MMO in it! I may take it out and do that... Of course down south the temps never reach 0 F... So it's useless... What if i rigged a switch and made it inject MMO (good idea or bad)?

I think it actually works. When I lived in Iowa my 80 would invariably foul the plugs and refuse to start when it went below 0 degrees F. So my theory is that the sub zero worked great, except it trashed my plugs.
What a worthless piece of equipment.
