strut bar

NEW MEMBER BUT ALWAYS LOVED ROTARY ENGINES. MY FIRST CAR WAS A 1982 GS RX7 WHEN I WAS 16 YRS OLD. MY QUESTION TO YOU, Where can I purchase a strut bar? Mazdatrix and cpracing's bars look like if they welded 2-3 rods together and painted them. I dont like this look. Even the racing beat strut bar is not so good looking. Is there any other manufactures that sellS a strut bar similar to the 3rd gens. I like the good looking strut bars. I'm planning to dress up my engine compartment. HELP.

Not bad at all. I cant remember the web site but an Australian company had awesome strut bars for the 1st gen. They almost look like the 3rd gens.

Whiteline perhaps? www.whiteline.com.au

Sorry about the crappy pics, but here it is:

It's kinda 3rd gen-ish. I decided I did notice a difference on the track for the positive, so they're worth the money IMO.

It looks great on my GSL-SE and my '83 GS.

But the '84-85 Rx-7 have a ridge on the strut tower that will require you to make shims so the bar mount surface sits flat.

Thanks This bar does look like the 3rd gens. Can I use spacers instead of shims? This is not a lot of work is it?

I can only speak for whiteline, but they ship their bar with new nuts for both strut towers. You can simply mount the bar on top of the existing nuts and use the new nuts to secure it. No need for shims or spacers (cause they're already there).

That'll work just fine. Not much work involved either... About 5 mins.
