strong gas smell

FL strong gas smell

i have an 85 gsl-se and i have a strong gas smell . i looked hard and found gas sitting on the motor under the intake . i was told that i needed to have my injector rebuilded is their any helpful information that would help me with the removal ?

FPD as others said. Get a 86-88 2nd gen (non turbo)fuel rail and delete that fire hazard! You may as well get your injectors cleaned and tested while you are in there too...

same thing happened to me many years ago, it was the puslation damper. fix it before you drive the car. Close inspection will probably show some fuel under that plastic cap on the damper.

I had the same issue. Mine was just the rubber fuel lines that are under there. I should have replaced the pd while I was there. Oh well.

Good time to do a vac hose job.
