dizzy weights hit the side of the dizzy?
I read that you can just pull the springs off the weights and I did that however when I spin the dizzy shaft by hand the weights hit the side of the dizzy housing after fully swinging outwards. Is that ok? or did I do something wrong? I dont want to put the guts back till I'm sure. Searched but it seems like no one else had the same problem. Please advise. Thanks.

Aren't there some tabs on the weights that are supposed to hook under the upper shaft assembly that keeps that from happening? I've never taken one apart so I'm definitely no help other than this hint. Maybe someone who knows will come along and answer.

you are 100% correct t g farrell.... I feel stupid should have looked at the top....
yetterben... I personally opt to just leave them loose rather than tack weld them... first and foremost because i dont have a welder... secondly just by slowly turning the dizzy by hand the weights get pegged fully out and the engine will turn a whole lot quicker...
I cant find a thread with valid pics on this process should i shoot some pics and post? anybody interested?
