GA Stock 13b engine harness swap

Hey guys. I have a interesting question. My buddy In northern GA is willing to sell me everything I'll need to run my 13b 6 port in my FB on all S5 stuff, I.e uim, lim, cas, maf, etc for 200$. I was wanting to know if anyone thinks that this will work? And if so how much trouble would it be to get all of it installed into the car.

Cheers,

Its doable, I just finished a full s4 6port swap using factory engine management and wiring. It takes a lot of time and fabrication to make it all work ... But mostly time reading and comparing wiring diagrams and making a hybrid out of the two

Ok. I just thought that I could run the S5 harness just as it was. I didnt know that i would have to mod anything really due to the engine bay being shorter than that of the 2nd gens. What all did you have to do?

Idealy you will want the main under hood fuse box from the fc as well as the main relay, and you will need to find/make spots to mount the coil packs, boost/MAP sensor, ATP sensor, MAF sensor, and the variable resistor. Plus, you will need to convert the fuel system over to a high pressure EFI system...preferabley making/bending up your own 5/16" steel fuel lines for feed and return. After all that its just a matter of wiring it all up.

....for clarification, is your car a GSL-SE and you just want to swap over the S5 peripherals? Or are you wanting to swap a full S5 motor and all into a once 12a equipped chassis? If its the first scenario, you can disregard the part about the efi conversion

I have an 82' GS? I believe. It has a 12a but its blown up. lol! Ive already taken it out and apart to see the shear destruction. But would i have to buy a whole new fuel pump and so on?

(i just did my swap into an 82 GS also) your fuel pump in the car is made for carburetor applications so it will need to be replaced. you will need a fuel injection pump that can do atleast 30-35 PSI minimum. (your current pump can maybe hit 5psi... maybe) and it would be smart to make new fuel lines, at least for the return. the fuel rail inlet and return on 2nd gen motors are 5/16".i think the carb'd 12a chassis had 5/16" feed and 1/4"return (not 100% sure as i havent had a stock fuel set up for a long time)

Alright, I figured it would be a bit difficult especially with the wiring and fuel setup. I kinda wanted to use the S4 ecu to control fuel and spark only while running a Holley carb but I've been told that I couldnt do that. :-/
