Angry Starter broken... cheap solutions??

My starter isnt working, and I'm getting friggin tired of push starting the old girl, lol. I dont have any money for a new starter... is there any way of ghetto-rigging a pull starter or something? lol

btw, my 7 is a beat up, dented, barely running POS Its hilarious just to watch it in motion, theres more wrong with it than there is right with it... and I think it would be even more friggin hilarious if I rigged up a pull start system lol

rebuilt starters should be cheap, depending on local availability.

Starters have so much power going through them you don't want to do a half-assed job on the wiring - you could easily start an engine fire or melt your harness.

You could rebuild it yourself... Good luck, but I'm not gonna go through with a writeup on starter rebuilds until I rebuild one myself...

Just hit it with a hammer once... It might crank over... It's just a bandaid fix though.

Junk Yard is your answer...... They sell $15 and you can test it out before you buy it.... and you have more choices...

grab the pull-start wheel from a big lawnmower.. mount it to the main pulley.... a hole in the hood, and a lot of muscle power... MIGHT work... Not exactly sure of the logistics...

I think it takes more power to crank over a good compression 12a than your arms can provide

Just get it rebuilt, it'll cost you like $20 tops...

Just use a stick and everytime u have to start the car.. just hit the starter with the stick.. not to hard and it should start
