Smoking (Help)
For some reason i can;t figure out why, my 7 starts to smoke at up at high rpms(5k+),But once i let off the gas. it is a whitish smoke, but doesnot smell like coolent, and it doesn't eat coolent, It is not blue like oil either, and it is not black like gas. I can't figure it out, i think may be Oil injection set too high? It is the Standard bar RB sends with their holly kit. so there is really not an ajustment on it, i was think about switching to premix, and discconecting the metering pump and see if it still does it, but i just can;t figure it out, It would normaly be shooting flames, but i get smoke instead
Im Running a 12a with a RB holley setup, and RB header,RB pre Silencer, and stright out exhaust.

So i think ifigured it out, it is the oil metering pump i think it was dumping too much so i backed it off and it seems to run much better to. But i did search and did'nt find much on the fourm about this. alot of "smoking"threads but no info i need. But we'll see i think this did the trick though.

If you get smoke when you let off at high rpms, make sure your oil level is not too high. If the level is correct, then you are looking at worn out oil control rings. Run a search on lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer. It can help if you can't rebuild the motor right now.
The omp is not capable of pumping enough oil into the motor to produce the "smokescreen"...
