It'll work great as long as you already have a shift light tach or a rpm trigger switch.

I think it's MSD that makes a shift light that works independly from a tach. It has a built in rpm trigger using rpm "pills"

thats what i want, an independant shift light, thats what that is, and it runs off of those 'pills' that come in incriments of 200 rpms. im not getting one now, i will eventually though. i just think it would look better than a tach, plus, you can catch a light out of the corner of your eye, spending less time watching the tach, and watching the track... just my opinion

yup, those msd shift lites are better than the monster tach with shift lites IMHO. at the drag strip, there is no time to look at a tach. therefore, i go by the feel of the engine. hopefully, i can get one soon for more consistent time.

Check out www.horsepowerinabox.com

They have an independent shift light that can be adjusted without the pills and all that bs. I don't know what the msd's run, but these seemed kinda pricey. Remember, it's in australian dollars.

This is a pretty cool item. It runs off the pulse running through your cars system and plugs into your cigarette lighter. Simple to install and adjust and it works on rotary's.
