The best accurate source of information I have found is in "The New Mazda Guide" by Michael Hollander. On page 10 is the 12A performance curves for hp and torque. Its interesting hp climbs in a straight line to 80hp at 4000rpm then slows off to 97 at 5000, then only gets another 3hp in reaching the max 100 at 6000rpm. There is little benefit from going above about 4800 rpm except to get more engine wear!
Page 10 has a very interesting graph, the RX-7 running performance curve, showing driving force and running resistance for speed and rpm in each of the 5 gears.

I want to add something here, even if an engine makes no more power over 6k you have to consider winding it up more than 6k in order to keep the revs up in the power range when shifting. If I shift lower than 7k from first to 2nd I lose...take note...high RPMS rule

sammymatik- Without increased porting the engine will be restricted so around 125rwhp would be maximum. How are you going to get a 10,000rpm motor?

680RWHP,
I don't know if that's your business at the website that your dyno sheet is posted on; but the price-gouging on the corner seals and springs needs to go. Good business practice isn't to buy a Mazda part, jack the price way up, then tout it as your own "High Quality Racing Seal". Corner seals are less than $4 each, and the springs are less than $2.50 each. Also, you need to tell your customers what makes your very typical looking 'race' apex seals so special before they lay down all that money.
Here's the link if anyone wants to see what I'm talking about.
