I am almost done with my red to black conversion. Upon removing the roof liner, a few clips busted along the rear part of it towards the hatchback. Should I try to find some OEM clips or is there an alternative to these specialty clips?

 

Check your local autobody paint supplier. Mine carries little parts like that.

 

Check hardware stores like Tru-Value , Ace and Home Depot, usually they have a collection of drawers containing odd little fasteners, etc. Once you find them make a note on your PDA. The tru Value a block from here even has an extensive collection of Orings. Also. Mazdatrix has some.
