Saratoga Top's ?

Ok so I saw an ad on Facebook marketplace for a "Saratoga top for a 78 Rx-7". The pictures show it to be for a 80-85 and looked to be a glass top as you could see through it. It turned out to not be glass but plastic, in great shape and super light. I have never seen or heard of these before. Are they rare .. like really rare? Worth anything? I only paid $50 for it so I know I got lucky, I will put it into storage if it is something worth preserving.

They look great, are decently rare, and still hold value. The downside is that in some cases, the plastic would slightly deform and the sunroof would rattle and not hold as tightly as it should. I think I have one in the basement that has a crack. They are a pretty rare piece. At $50, I think you did well!!

Agree. Also being plastic, use, cleaning, polishing over time and they scratch like crazy. This is why the glass ones rock- and are more $$$.
