Sun Roof
Just got back from the parts yard found some good stuff, but one item caught my eye, it was a sun roof out of an 83' GSL, now I know you're thinking so what, the part that caught my eye is that it's glass.
This is the first one I've seen with a glass top. How many out there have a glass sun roof???
Oh, and I only paid a total of $50 for what I got (headlight cover, headlight trim left and right, the rods to lift the headlights and the glass roof).
I'm going back after payday to get the louvers off of another 7.
I counted about 9 first gens while I was there.

Used smoked glass sunroofs (NOT the plexiglass ones!) in reasonable shape go for between $150 and $300, depending on how bad you want it and how bad the seller wants to sell. You lucky bastard...

YUP, in perfect condition less the one little release latch, probably weighs 5-10 lbs. SOLARCOOL coating from PPG, tempered, not a scratch or a nick of any kind
I'm going to be building a site off of cardomain tonight I'mm post back w/the link and I'll even put a pick of the glass on there just so people can drooel.

On Saturday, I got an '84 Nikki carb with all emissions and intake, A/C compressor, Distributer Ignition with ignitors, and a second gen alternator ('89): all for $40. =)

I had one with my car when I bought it. The chick didn't like it and never put it on. I love it more head room, plus I can just park at night in a deserted dark spot and stay in my car to look at the stars which is awesome.

I wish I would have known they were rare! I sold my parts car to a buddy for a racer and it had a perfect glass sunroof in it, My 84 already had one. I think it either got broke or is in a pile in his backyard.
