salt bracket from Pineapple...

Hello All,

After reading about the negative effects of an over tensioned alternator belt, (or belts)..., usually precipitating premature wear on eccentric bearings... is what I've heard.. & that sounds no bueno. Today, I just received my adjustable alternator bracket from Pineapple Racing.... $45.00 Since I replaced my FB alternator with a hopped up FD unit .... I have been tensioning the alt. belt with a crow-bar! LOL... so, hopefully this will get me a bit more precision with my tension & help this little engine live as long as it can...
Happy Motoring Folks!

Sam

Very curious why it's labeled as a "salt" bracket as well...but I agree, getting the proper belt deflection is extremely important and the old-school method of crowbar/screwdriver/wrench under the water pump isn't the most accurate.

salt bracket probably = alt bracket, where the "S" is silent.

Actually we are in Indiana which is many many miles from the Pacific, closer to the Atlantic since we are still in the Eastern Time Zone

Thanks for buying our product
