sagging spring's??

So im looking to upgrade my suspension, RB springs tokico shocks and a new bushing kit. Im concerned about the spring situation. Im worried if i buy the new RB springs they will make my ride look higher because of the sagging springs. So my question is am i better off staying with the orginal springs or upgrading. I dont want coilovers so what do you guys think.?

what's wrong with coilovers? if you wanted performance i'd definitely go with rb or something... stock is a little too soft imo

if your springs are sagging, then i recommend you get new springs anyways, sure it may sit a little higher than it does now, but the ride will be so much better...but it's your car.

if your springs are sagging, which they probably are not, then with the RB springs which drop the car 1" will not effect the ride height. replace the springs with o.e. or RB when replacing the rest of the suspension.

I used to have all RB springs/swaybars. Took me less than a year to decide I needed more. You might not run into that problem if you are a casual driver though.

But if you have any thoughts at all about high performance driving, racing, running fast through the twisties, etc. then you really should consider moving up to coilovers. Well worth it.

I'm a poor college student too, and I have the discontinued Eibach springs on Tokico blues. The Eibachs are quite a bit stiffer than RB springs and I find them a bit too soft for autocross. Even though it financially wasn't feasable I cost myself more money in the long run because now I'm going to be buying coilovers when I can. However, personally I don't think stiff springs improve anything noticable unless you are into racing.

As long as you are just looking for a car to cruise in, then you'll probably be satisfied with whatever springs you go with.

But if you think that you'll ever want real performance handling from the car, then the cost between doing it "sort of right" and doing it right is actually quite small. Especially when you consider having to remove the parts you installed just to replace them again with something better. Like I said, I ran RB for a while before I realized it just wasn't "enough" for me.

Good luck, and stay away from fast women (they'll only cost you money in the long run).

amen, brother.

by the way. if you get the tokico whites, you'll be able to make it soft or stiff whenever you want

The Tokico "whites" (otherwise known as Illuminas) are a very nice way to fine tune the ride. There is a very big difference between the softest setting (think Cadillac cruiser) and the stiffest setting (rollerskate).

I always advise people to spend the extra few bucks for these over the Blues when it is at all possible. You will not regret it.

Buy this guy's Eibachs. I have them on the widebody, RB linears on the FC, both have adjustable shocks/struts and the WB has the full set of poly bushings. Guess which car has the best ride?

When I installed the Eibachs, the ride height remained the same due to the old springs sagging.
