IT RUNS...but HOLY SMOKE!!

ok, got the 12a running now, this thing has sat for 3 years apparently, started right up, but the smoke coming out the rear is unbelievable. i ran it for about 5 minutes and had to shut down due to neighbours coming out of their houses looking for the fire.....then i started it and drove it down there street, turned around to come back, and i couldn't even see in front of me through all the smoke!!!! like HOLY!.

its a very thick, white, maybe a little blue, before this, i had a leak in the intake wh ich caused water to leak into the motor, plus there was some oil on the spark plugs hopefully from turning the motor over and over and over without it starting until now...

now i figured it would smoke like this, but for more than like 7-8 minutes??? oh god oh god i hope nothing else is wrong. the secondaries on the carb are stuck (the linkages), and they are open a tiny tiny bit, so i gotta do something about that carb, but still.

The first time i test-drove my car it had only sat and idled for ~8 months. It blew huge amounts of smoke, so much that i couldn't see the 5 lane road (2 north, 2 south, turn) behind me. A few runs through the rev range and it cleared up. take it out and run it to redline a few times and it should clear up.

okay, so 5 or 10 minutes wasn't enough....and i never got it past 4,000rpm either. like i said. engine sat 3 years, car sat 6, and we've dumped alot of crap through that carb too, and into the exhaust that's right

One time I was toppin off the oil at the gas station, i was inspecting my recently uninstalled rats nest and had the air cleaner open. I set the bottle on the side of it, I dont know how it happened but it feel over and a good solid glug went straight down into the carb. (oops)

I started that bad boy up, OMG, I smoked out the whole station!!! I just let it run, walked inside got a coke, smoke every where, peolpe are starring and junk, I was so embarresed, but I told them thats normal. A guy told me when I walked out I think ya got some bad rings son. I was like nah its normal for a rotary!

I drove off looking like a mossiqutio killen 7

when i got my 7 i was a stupid 15yr old and was revving it to 6-7k as soon as i turned it on apparently the car had not done this in awhile and as VERY THICK blue whitish smoke came out for like 5 minutesi remember it made my little nephew cry on easter haha. I guess it had some major carbon build up cause it does not smoke now

Hell I got tons of smoke stories!

One time I rented a fog machine and fogged up my car and rolled up to school to pick up some of my buddies. I rolled down the window and that **** came pouring out! I was coughin up a storm from breathin that in. The VP comes running over. They all think im high and then they get close and see the machine because by this time it had cleared out from the doors being open. It was awesome! I hear they still talk about it to this day!

my SE smokes like that whenever some fool floods it..namely anyone except me, myself, and I...I still don't get how other people flood it so easily..I no longer let anyone touch it..I even lecture auto shops on startup procedures..esp when I got new tires...do'h....
