Put it this way, even drag strips will give you **** about how loud thats going to be. Nobody believed that my car is loud with out a muffler, so I yanked it off and took it for a run on the track. EVERYBODY was holding their ears when I launched haha. This is with a stock port, stock exhaust manifold too.

Ummm are you talking with no exhaust at all? Why would you want to do that? You can run just a header as long as you are careful that you don't start anything on fire... And yes its going to be loud like a dragster...

Dan Young is a lier. It'll be louder than a drag car. I've done it before just for the hell of it when test fitting my RB header. To this day my ears still bleed

over a period of time warping will occur due to the header/manifold helps to pull heat away from the engine. Also, hot going back into the engine equals poor perfomance plus you are pulling in dirty air as compared to cool clean air. Drag cars still have headers for these reasons.

In a standard engine and a rotary. When aluminum gets to hot it warps and these little rotary's produce alot of hot exhaust.

Sorry

i will never do it again. i set off every car alarm in my apartment complex just idleing thru the parking lot. even with the windows up it hurt my ears past 3k rpm.my buddy at school could hear my car over his radio(with his windows rolled up) from about a 1/8th mile away.at idle people 20 feet away on the sidewalk were holding their ears(and of course i couldnt resist the urge to blip the throttle when i took off). but no i shouldnt really hurt anything to run just a header, just expect the neighbors to be pissed off
