It is a pain to pull the steering box, but once it's out you are like so happy!
Pulled mine 5 years ago to put in a VW Rabbit Rack and Pinion( Ghetto style)
Can't wait to put this in as a replacement......

man...i couldnt stop thinking about it at work today. i have a question tho. from the stage 1 crossmember brace you can attach the R&P on it correct? the stage 2 is with upgraded "A arms" with even more adjust ability correct? is that the major difference?

I think the stage 2 kit is needed to fit the R/P in place. It looks like the stock stay rods (strut rods) are not useable with the R/P. But, wait for Billy to give the official word.

Airflow is my life
Awesome job Billy. From what I see you'll end up with solid front motor mounts? Hard to tell for sure from the pics. Didint some hi power guys who went to solids end up cracking the front cover? I'd like to know how your dealing with this issue, not trying to criticize. Im thinking a solid engine torqe brace can take the twisting stress off the mount.

I have not calculated the stage two upgrade yet. Should only be slightly more than purchasing it all at one.

The kit includes polyurethane engine mount. Solid aluminum is an upgrade option.

Actually we picked up a remote control air plane today. We have been having fun waiting for the thing to charge for 30 minutes in between 5 minute crashing stints. I am about to break out the super charger and blast these batteries till they swell

Oh dammit... you had to release this before I made my order... now I have to figure out how to afford *THIS* too! (I'm the guy asking about the Narrow Dynalites)
How are the pivot points of the new A-arm bit done; are rod-ends possible?

The stage 1 kit has the mounting for the rack. You would need to upgrade to the stage 2 kit in order to use a front rack. The stay rods get in the way of the new steering arms. Stage 1 can be upgraded to stage 2 at a later date.

Stage 1 kit retains the stock steering.
The Stage 2 kit is required before a R&P can be fitted.
At least, that's my understanding. If I wrong, Billy will surely set the record straight.

Yea, stage 1 has nothing to do with the steering. It locates the engine and lower control arms only. Less weight than stock, urethane engine mounting and multiple pickup points. Upgradeable at a later date to replace the steering system with rack and pinion.

Hey billy, very nice. Has me thinking as to scca road racing application. I need to pull out the gcr but I'm thinking the crossmember might be ep legal. I know the steering conversion would not be. gt3 should be no problem with both. Very interesting.
Keep up the great work.

Awesome.
Looks like I found a reason to start working on the RX-7 again!
Ive been waiting for a reason to pitch the CP rack and pinion steering.....but,with this high quality setup now on the market,Id feel guilty trying to re-sell my old CP kit to anyone!
Seriously,my paint/body is paid off.....Ill be getting a Stage2 very soon.
Do the rear struts clear with a turbo (S5 13BT)?
What ratio in manual steering would be best for a streetcar with big 17" meats up front?

standard 20:1 is close to stock.
You should not see clearance problems if you clear the stock idles arm setup. I will get some hard numbers on that for you though.

13B position?
You may need to change the front cover for a different MOP [OMP] or if you want to use the turbo oil return boss on the SE front cover...
