rebuilding OMP question

I can see oil trying to climb thru the lines, but i dont see it making it to the carb, ( so i premix ) i also see oil dripping from the OMP guess it needs to be rebuilt , so i have three questions:
1 .should the omp lines get any vaccum from where they are attached at the carb...mine dont
2. is the pump easy to rebuild and where do u get a kit
3. i have two carb kits that have lots of rubber washers left, and o rings, ,will any of them work in the omp........
...85GSL...

Ooo ooo me me pick me!

Yeah so I just did this to the Mound, although it's an 84 SE, I suspect the pumps are simiar. I took it apart completely, which is not necessary to rebuild. I took photos along the entire way, I will post em on my web page soon.

I was scared to put it back but everything was intuitive, and what wasn't I found here

and lowerperformacen.com sells a kit.

And I have photos of my OMP before on my site listed below.

Lowe's kit comes with some nice instructions too. With his kit it's pretty much a no-brainer job.

As far as I know Mazda only sells the OMP-block seal. The Lowe kit contains three others for the internals of the OMP.

Right on.

OK, finally got around to working on the omp,,,oh my God, it was just loose on the engine,,, had lots of oil mess and very little going up the lines,,,, i cleaned up the mess and all is well....you would think that after 18 years that the bolts would stay tight,,,go figure..lol

LMAO....I like the jump from pile of parts to finished OMP! It was good stuff, though, I'll have to admit! I'll do the '83, now that I know about the Lowe connection, thanks!

The best way to order the rebuild kit from Lowe is to give him a call. His number is (941)-924-8597

How long did the rebuild take? I am tired of oil leakage, and I suspect my OMP isn't working as it should.

From removal to re-installation it'll take a couple of hours if you take your time and clean everything up as you should.
