Here's some comparison shots compared to a few tanks. The center one is a SA tank, and the rear one is a S3 tank. I do also have an S2 tank, but its really close looking to the s3 so decided to not include it.

Ahh lol ... there's a few pieces of metal that still need to go there
There was just no way to hold all the pieces in there while also trying to hold the camera
It will look like the CAD drawing that I originally showed here.
On another note. I just finished welding up the top and bottom pieces together that you see here. Along with burning my finger
And I really should of opted for a dynasty welder with a water cooled torch vs my synchrowave 200 and air cooled torch. Adding a water cooler is certainly on the list!

Sorry for not getting back to you in regards to the email/ PM you sent yesterday, I was waiting on an email from the person that manufactures these for us, to give you a better answer. Sorry if it looked like I was ignoring your email / PM

A couple more shots of the tanks with another side welded on there.
I still need to have a threaded flange machined off for the inlet/oulet tubing, along with doing the slosh cup in there also before finishing welding everything.

The next one that I'm making which will most likely ve going to north Carolina to a person that I don't think is on this forum. With his, there will be a few more baffle plates. He also wants me to add a low pressure pump inside the tank to keep on feeding the slosh cup. His car is more track focused.
I have toyed around with the idea of installing foam, but reading around, its not all that great. Foam disentigrates rather quickly (less than 5 years time) and also it has the tendency to keep on clogging filters and making things worse.
I don't see the point of this, especially if the Return and Feed line both go the the same slosh cup. But "what-ever", if that is what he wants, then that is what he wants.

I have tried explaining this, but he still feels like it won't stay full. Personally on mine I won't have that. Regardless I'll post up some more pictures of the other one when I start welding it up along with when this one is finished.
What will keep it bolted up?
The original tanks all have little holes where the bolts would go through to keep it in place.
Will you just have a metal rim all around the tank for the bolts?
Also has this tank been test fitted?
I see you decided to go with a flat top, while the original tanks have a dip, why is that?
Overall I like it, has there been a conclusion as to the price and if you will have a flat rate shipping or will it depend on where you live?

They haven't been test fitted yet, this is still the first one, and some modifications may occur after trying to install it that will be applied to all the rest. I have to start somewhere though
Are you referring to the very top piece? As in where it sits around the frame rail? If so the highest point on the new tank is actually of the same height as the lower section. This is done for 2 reasons:
1) Simplify the design to reduce material and welding time to provide you guys with a cheaper product
2) To accommodate a bigger flange to easily fit in in-tank pumps.
Lastly for shipping, it will be based on where you live. I would imagine flat rate shipping is really not that good of an idea for everybody. If someone can save even 20$ on a shipping cost compared to someone else why should they not be allowed to? I usually see flat rate shipping as a bit of an extra money grab from business owners. Kinda like how most guys on ebay make money now adays, with the price of shipping and not the product price ...
Thanks for answering my questions guys.
I just wasn't sure if the stock straps would fit this new design.
The reason I was asking about the dip in the stock tanks, was because I didn't know if it was there because of the body of the car. I was just making sure that if I were to get this I wouldn't have to do any body work.
Last but not least, what sounds better; will it bolt up or will it strap up. :P

Sorry just couldn't resist.
As for the welding, thanks for the compliments. Just because its big and bulky, doesn't mean it has to be ugly
. If you do come up here, I'll do my best to teach
straps are the same, the only difference is the tank size where the spare wheel sits. im runnung an SA tank in my S2 FB. when running an SA tank in a later chassis u need to just make spacers in that area so the tank will sit level when tightened up
