Exclamation Rat's Nest Routing help!

Ok, I'm looking at page 19 of the rats nest removal tutorial...
It says run a hose from the oil fill pipe to a location just below the valve (lower right)
Which Valve? what location? just leave it open there?
then run a hose from the carb vent to the same location... sorry, which one is the carb vent? Run a short hose from the bottom of the valve and use a T-Fitting to connect all three...
Which Valve?
are we talking that big black thingy there in the lower right side of the pic, the one where we already connected all three ports on it to other locations?
I'm really confused at this point, and in the middle of it. the pic doesn't clearly show where the Eff I'm supposed to connect it. Anyone out there that has 'successfully' done this? Please tell me what I don't understand.

the 'black thingy' is the purge valve.

connect a hose from the bottom of the purge valve, one from the oil filler neck, and one from the hole next to the air vent solenoid valve with a t-fitting.

the short hose connecting to the purge valve should go onto the middle of the T.

hope that makes sense
