Question Random rattle from right front!

So I can hear a rattle coming from the right front of my car. It is not any of the suspension parts as I had it up on the lift today and checked all bearings and joints. My mechanic and I thought it might be that the strut insert might be bad and rattling around inside, anyone have any ideas about that or any other suggestions what it might be?? Thanks in advance.

Ben

I had the same problem, but mine was stabilizer linkage.

Well, does it constantly click. Or does it click when you hit pot holes and take hard turns?

Sounds like the linkage. Its kinda hard to explain, but look for a bolt that looks broken on the front right or left.

This part cost around 20 bucks, and unless you have a lift. This a bitch to replace.

I used the lift at my school, and it took about 1 and a 1/2 hours.

I had that exact same problem. Almost certainly the struts. Mine were completely shot, providing no damping whatsoever (stupid open oil stock crap).

Idler arm bushing is probaly gone, check that, then check the idler arm it self. This is most likely the problem.

ha I have a new idler arm there
as above stated I checked all bushings and such
I have a lift and a full compliment of tools, I can't imagine anything in there taking an hour and and a half to replace, even changing the whole suspension looks like it could be done in an hour and a halff.
I will ask my mechanic friend who lets me work in his garage about the stablizer linkage.

The reason my linkage took an hour and a half, is becasue we had to cut of the old one, the bolt was all rusted. And our torch wasnt that great!
