Quick Q, what is this worth?

I don't know first gens, but was wondering would be a good price to offer for this car. It's an 84-85 GSL 5 spd. 1 owner, has like 87-88k on it. Front passenger fender is bad by the bumper, a little bit of rust in the rear, interior is real nice, motor doesn't run. I believe the car sat outside for like 5-6 years, so I'm guessing the seals went on it. When it was first out for sale many months ago he wanted like $1500 for it non running, we saw it still at the guys house a few days ago and I was going to stop by and see if it was still for sale.

Not sure, but certainly not worth $1500.

If I can get mine about the same condition for $150, you can ask for $500 or below. the $500 is to be nice.

W0rd. I got my barely running clean 84 GSL with 110,000 miles for $500 with all sorts of new stuff in the motor.

Well I stopped by today and all the lights were on in the house but no answer (I'm guessing watching the superbowl) so I left my number in the door for him. I remember a while back when I went to look at it he said he was going to try and get it running and sell it for more. We stopped by a few days later and there was a can of starter fluid on the seat and the car still wasn't running. Since I didn't get to talk to him, I'm not sure if he ever got the car running. If it still isn't running, I'm not going to give him anything over $500-600 for it.

Dude! I picked up a non running SA with a locked up engine, crappy interior, but hardly no rust to even worry about, almost perfect body, for a hundred bucks. Then robs_seven and myself went in halves on a 81 FB that we got running with 85k miles for 300 smackers.

Well I actually just found a cheap 86 for sale, so hopefully I can get one of these deals. I love first gens, but was always more of a fc guy, but if the price is right...
