Hmm. I dunno. I just went out and connected a cherry bomb muffler to whats left of my exploded exhaust, with some mechanic's wire. Pretty ghetto, but I was able to drive right next to a cop, and he didn't even look over at me. Yay Ghetto!

T-H-U-G. I think you will need a presilencer, but i'm not sure. I'll let someone else reply for confirmation.

presilencer is not restricting. It is straight through, but is wrapped to muffle the sound

I have just an RB header and a presilencer on my 7 with a free flow muffler on there. And it's loud. If you have no cats get the presilencer... Unless you like headaches

I'm not an expert or nothing, but here is what I know:

Presilencers are not restrictive. Like Jeff said, they are just pipes with a chamber around them to resonate the sound waves in order to cancel them out. At least thats the basic idea.

Cats have screens in them made of platinum and other expensive metals and these screens, while exposing a large amount of catalyst (platinum, etc) to the exhaust flow, usually are not especially free-flowing.

hmm.. looking at what RB has on their site, there's a dual-presilencer set, no cat... how loud would that be?
