question for car painters....

If your clear coat has worn thin, can u put another coat of clear on,,,,i know that you would have to do some sanding, prep work,,,and what is the formula for putting on the thinnest coat,,,ie...4 parts cc, 1 part hardner, 1 part us2 additive,,,,but can that be reduced even thinner,,,do you add more us2 or can you use paint thinner (or will that make it dull)

You can not clear coat over dried paint, it will not stick and delaminate over a short period of time. Of course you can do what ever you want to your own car.
Think about what it the paint going to stick to, recommend sanding the car, priming and repainting.

what would you recommend for repairing the little dings in the paint that are starting to rust, aside from a full repaint?

well you know for each patch of primer you have on your car is like +5 HP! BUT thats only if you have a mullet..
