Pre-Mix for Racing

For anybody who races SCCA what ratio do you use for premix? Who's oil do you use? Does anybody keep the OMP?

Thanks,

Tom

I did

And I did not find anybody mention they were racing. It seemed most were for street set-up. While racing you tend to live at the red line. If you run enduros this can go on for 2-3 hours. Not true for the typical street engine. I just though there may be a diffent set up for racing.

I use Red Line 2- Stroke Pre-mix. 1 Ounce to 1 Gallon. ~$7 a bottle 16 oz

Others use the MMO (Marvel Mystery Oil) This stuff is about ~$9 a Gal.

Again 1oz to 1Gal

Me when I'm feeling rich, I use Motoul 600 or 800. Some dirt bike premix ****. Same 1:1.

I've heard a guy tell me that it makes a big difference on your housings. His personal experience.

Me myself, I like to use a condom even if shes on birth control. I still have my OMP,and still pre-mix, but just when I know I'm going to be punching the **** out the motor.

Tom, racers use one ounce of premix per gallon of gas.

I use Castrol 2 stroke, inexpensive and does a good job. Others use stuff for motorcycles. Just go to your local dirt bike shop and ask for the best synthetic stuff.

Back in the Day

I raced MX and used Bel-Ray blue at 32:1. Never fouled a ring or plug but then again yer running the **** out of the MF'er. Sounds like 1 oz to 1 gal is the hot set-up for the track.

Thanks for all the replies!
