Power steering rack

Ive been looking at the RESPEED rack and pinion set up and im curious as to why they never offered a power version.

I understand that the mustang rack doesnt need much pressure to operate, so it might be as simple as mating the FB box to the rack. Maybe. Thats the point of this thread.

Anyone know the technical data on the FB PS box? I have access to both SE and non SE PS pumps, and Id really like to power one for maximum lol

If nothing else, how hard would it be to power one with ANY pump mounted, maybe even FC or a saginaw.

I cant be the first person to want this lol

If you use the 15 to 1 rack with a normal size steering wheel then you, imho, will be more than happy and will not need the complications and extra weight of a power steering rack and pump.

Biggest problem I see would be fitting it. The steering column on the rack comes out where the power steering pump is mounted. It might fit where the AC compressor is with a custom bracket, then the oil filler neck would have to be shortened.

As for the 15:1 and being good to work with im unsure. I keep seeing them come up for sale because of "user friendliness". I dont want to spend the time and money on the swap to not like it. I know id be happy with the power steering, but I am willing to try not having it.
