power steering PUMP

here's the deal... i have a pump and it leaks... i've searched for my question, but found threads discussing whether to add power steering or not and talking about turning ratios. well i put some lucas stop leak in there and i think its working... however about 3 weeks ago i spunned out of control and my power steering stopped working after i got out of the donut... i've tried adding more fluid in there, but it still feels like the pump died or something... here's my q's...

1st: is the speed variable thing messed up or short circuited???

2nd: if it did... how do you bypass it where its continuosly giving power at all speed??

I would venture to guess the stop leak stuff couldve clogged something too...

There's a clip that fails with some regularity on the pump shaft. David Lane did an article on this years back (like 8 or so years back).
