Power issues

Hi I have a 1984 gal rx7 and for some reason I am having power issues. I had the car parked for a while like 9 months and it killed the battery i left in it so I bought a new one and after a few days of the battery city in the car it died too. Now the car was doing a little bit of squealing and I think it is the alternator belt because it is pretty old. Has anyone else had this problem???? Would the digital clock drain the battery like that or could it be a charging issue????????

The clock will drain the battery, but it usually takes more than a few days. Have your alternator checked.

If you are getting a squealing noise, check the tension on the alternator belt.

Listen to percent and kentetsu, it's good advice. Check belt tension, if good, check alternator.

You have a power draw somewhere or a short.

Hey turns out it was the alternator belt. Was really old so I switched it out with a new one and it's working good. I figured I would fix the easiest part and if that didn't work then I would take it to a shop to have it looked at. But any who thanks for the help guys.
