Well......thats what happens when you shoot flames through clogged cats.....so, as long as its all gutted, you should be ok.

If you shooting flames then you are running too rich.
If your car is tuned properly, it won't shoot flames.

Sure it's ok.....It's keeping the inside of your engine "Well" oiled.

I dont experience any hesitation, and a couple times ive done it and nothing happend. So its just injected oil burning off? COOOL! I thought it was running lean or some crap.

My oil seals letting go? You have to be out of your gourd!

Is there any other indication that these seals are letting go other than a 7k shift?

Basically, in my experiance, if you drive around and rev up close to redline and then push in the clutch and let the car come back down and you get a cloud of smoke, youve got oil seal problems.

On the other hand, my car does this too, but I have my OMP wired wide open so I get LOTS of oil sucked in as the engine creates a vacuum as its coming down and just sucks it all in there. Not really any smoke on the way down, but then when I touch the gas again and burn it all outta there, instant smoke screen .

I knew someone would get it, lol.

I've only brought my car to 7k rpms 4 times, and the first two of those times, I got a cloud of smoke. After that, I haven't seen anything. If it does it again, I'll tell my mechanic and get his oppinion on it. If the seals are starting to go, I'll get them replaced. And when I have the engine apart, it will most likely get rebuilt and an almost-bridgeport port.

Flames are perfectly normal from what i've heard... i've got a picture of mine doing it in my sig, i'd rev it at redline and flames would start coming out, but that's the only time it ever does it... car was running ideal too.
