this mite sound funny to some of you guys. my buddy clocks in at 350 pounds and i clock in at around 150. what do i have to do so i can take him for a spin.

the reason i ask is cause the tag on the door says some thing like 340 or 370 for max weight ect.

I had myself and 5 16year old girls in my old gsl. Back when I was 16 of course. 3 in the back, 2 in the passenger seat.

maybe use this next spin with him to justify new suspension components if anything breaks? i think i've had all 115 lbs of me and 200-275 lbs of my crap in my car while moving and all i noticed was that mine was like driving a boat instead of an RX-7. everything was delayed, weighted, heavy, and slow.

if your gonna take him for a ride, im sure acceleration wont eb so impresive iwth 500 lbs of ballast. Cornering wont be impresive, especially left turns. Youll lose grip easier. Of course it will be hard to notice. And it is unlikely that your going to break any suspension geometry or your shocks/springs. For one ride your car is gonna be fine.

Haha, well man, let the clutch slip out a little more going into first or something! Glad you let him ride though. I guess you will be needing more power now, eh?

12a? you need lots of torque to haul those big guys. Maybe a 454 or even a 350. or a 13b 4 port
