Parts from other cars in a First Gen.

I thought this would be a cool idea for a thread.

If you've modified your first gen by use of parts from another car, be it Mazda another generation RX7 or any other manufacturer, post it here. Pictures of course would be invaluable as well as if you had to do some fitwork or additional mods to get it to work.

We RX-7 owners are a resourceful lot, so I think this could be an interesting thread.

So what do you got.

2nd Gen fuse block?
Seats from a Porsche?
Miata Shifter?
Honda Rims?
Rear View Mirrow from a Winnebago?

Thanks guys. I'll definitely do the write up but I have to do some more research to see how it fits with a stock alternator mounting location.

I guess I should list all my mods in my sig but I'm just too lazy Yeah those are MK I MR2 fans (1980s vintage MR2). Thank you pull-apart! Along with 2G coils as well.

I've been thinking about running two small electric fans off an 80s supra on the gsl-se oil cooler i'm about to install. A buddy of mine was working on about an 87 supra when i thought of this, they have about a 6 inch electric fan mounted next the to large belt driven one for extra cooling. I think a pair of them on a custom bracket would make nice oil cooler fans.

i've been thinking about stealing the fans from my brother's 92 eclipse. they seem like they would fit just fine, but i can't talk him into it, he did some engine swap, and needs a harness and new radiator to finish, but it's been like that for about a year lol.

At this point, my only semi-qualifying parts would be the FB seats, electric window regulators, and rear bins I have in my SA... but those are still first-gen, so no.

I do however need a stronger alternator, since running headlights and AC/fan at night will run my battery down eventually, so I am interested in the s4/s5 alternator comments above.

Linky to more detailed info, pls?

This is what I added to my SA to run my crazy stereo system and I totally recommend it. I also did the mounting option on the last page. If you need any help let me know.

In my SA also only semi-qualifying: FB engine with FB dizzy. GM CS-130 alt, FB seats, FB power windows, FB side mirrors, aftermarket oil pressure and coolent temp gauges, Header connected to FB exhaust, FB wheels, and a custom rear seat.
